Product description
Pegase (Pessoa) buckles have three attachment points of different sizes:
- a top ring for the net post
- a central ring
- a lower ring for the reins
This configuration makes it possible to use the bit in different ways, to create a leverage effect on the headstall of the bridle, and thus cause poll-yielding.
This effect can be adjusted to suit the needs of each horse and rider:
- direct with reins on lower ring → strong action
- with a pair of rings → moderate action
- with four reins → different actions depending on needs as the session progresses.
The side pieces are here sold without the mouthpiece. You can choose mouthpieces or the complete bits in the shop.
Why use these buckles ?
Pegase buckles are recommended for rebalancing and straightening plunging horses, but are not suitable for horses with a very high neck carriage.
