Product description
Positioned on either side of the mouthpiece, the full-cheeks branches frame the mouth, helping to canalize the horse. The weight of the buckles allows the horse to come through the bit better.
These branches are often used with young horses for better direction and more precise guidance.
The side pieces are here sold without the mouthpiece. You can choose mouthpieces or the complete bits in the shop.
Why use these buckles ?
The Full Cheeks bit is generally used on young horses or those just starting out. These branches help stabilize the bit in the mouth and frame the horse’s mouth, especially when turning.
At I-Bride, for young horses under 8 years of age, we recommend that you accompany our needle bits with an Easy-Ride Soft Flex mouthpiece – which safeguards the development of mandibular bars while providing a high level of comfort.
Testimonials
“When a young horse is just starting out, contact is essential. With I-Bride bits, which I’ve tried on several young horses: 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds… and you can feel the horse immediately gaining confidence and resting on the bit, and you get better contact.” – Isabelle Pinto
